The development of non-energy export was discussed in Tomsk
On March 22, the Engineering building of SEZ “Tomsk” accepted an interregional export forum “Made in Russia”, which was organized by Tomsk CCI together with JSC “Russian Export Center” with the support of Tomsk Oblast Administration and plenipotentiary representative of the RF president in Siberian Federal District.
This forum became the first platform in Russia where power, business, development institutes, and scientific community discussed the ways for non-energy export development in a dialogue form. This task was set by the President of Russia to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
More than 250 representatives of business and authorities from Tomsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Novosibirsk Oblasts, Altai Krai, management and experts of JSC “Russian Export Center” took part in the discussion of topical issues of the export sphere development. The plenary session and round tables were also attended by core-business department administration of executive office of plenipotentiary of the President of the RF in SFD, regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry and export support centers.
In a message to the Federal Assembly Russian president Vladimir Putin marked that one of the main sources of the Russian economy growth was non-energy export namely, and set a mission to double its volume and bring it to $ 250 billion in the next six years.
Andrey Antonov, deputy governor of Tomsk Oblast, during his speech at the plenary session said: “Our region uses all possible tools to solve this task. Last year, REC point in the region was opened on the basis of Tomsk CCI, which successfully completed the functions of export support center. Today Tomsk businessmen have the opportunity to receive advice in CCI, to take part in seminars with the best Russian experts on IEA, to present their products during business missions and meetings in Tomsk in a single-window system. As a result, our exporters made over 150 export contracts only in 2017, and the number of small and medium-sized exporters has doubled over the past three years.”
Boris Igoshin, managing director for regional support of exporters of JSC REC pointed out:
“The dialogue was rather meaningful». We spoke how could federal authorities, regional authorities, REC, businessman community build an effective cooperation to solve an assigned task for the increase of volumes of non-energy export. Special attention was paid to the fact which mechanisms of the exporters support within the framework of the state program and REC mechanisms should be attracted.”
Georgy Petrov, one of the most famous experts in the sphere of international relations, the adviser of President of CCI of Russia, noted an extremely aggravated world competition, when a different range of economic sanctions was involved in a struggle for markets against Russia. He made a call for a wider use of a world system of chambers of commerce and industry, which existed in almost all countries, to promote Russian export-oriented business. He emphasized that Tomsk CCI was the entry point to “service menu” for the exporters which JSC “REC” offered.
Panel discussion and round tables were actively attended by the leaders of Siberian exporting companies “Elcom +”, “Art Life”, “Oiltim Company”, SAVA, ATEK, “Sibirsky Premier”, “Novaya Khimiya”, “Telebriz”, Petr Chubik, rector of SR TPU.
During the presentations, businessmen focused their attention on the issues arising in the course of export activities and designated the proposals for support improvement within Russian Export Center.
Live constructive discussions resulted in the proposals for the development of non-energy export and export of services (in particular, educational), reflected in the final document of the Forum.
